This piece was painted from a plein air paint session in Glenbrook Ravine. The initial image is the banana leaf plant that grows by the Koi Pond. I added the forms at the top to express the interesting layering of the plants down there. I wanted to add grey in the sky to give the feeling of the spring rain, the cloudy sky in contrast with the vibrant green of the plan.
